Feng Shui Taboos for Plants(3)

Feng Shui Taboos for Plants(3)

(3) What are the taboos and preferences regarding the planting orientation of courtyard plants?

"Plant peach and poplar in the east, plum and jujube in the south, gardenia and elm in the west, and apricot in the north for good luck."
According to ancient Feng Shui records, "Weeping willows in front of the door are not auspicious", "A pagoda tree in the middle of the door brings wealth for three generations", "With an elm tree behind the house, hundreds of ghosts will not approach", "It is auspicious to plant double jujube trees in front of the door, and having green bamboos and trees on all four sides brings wealth", "If there are lush trees at the four corners of the residence, misfortunes cannot be stopped when they arise", and so on.
From a scientific perspective, peach trees and poplar trees welcome spring earlier and have small crowns. Planting them in the east can not only welcome spring but also avoid blocking sunlight. Plum trees and jujube trees have a high demand for sunlight, so they are suitable to be planted in the south. Elm trees are moisture - loving plants and are suitable to be planted in the west. Apricot trees are cold - tolerant but not water -logging - tolerant, so they are suitable to be planted in the north.
